Honda Accord Nets Thirtieth Car and Driver 10Best Listing

December 7th, 2015 by

2015 has been a pretty exciting year for Honda. Not have they only launched the tenth generation of the Civic sedan, an all-new Pilot, and updated CR-V, they also gave a much lauded tweak to their ninth generation Accord. In fact, it was so lauded that it positioned the car to win yet another 10Best title from Car and Driver.

In the award’s thirty-two years of existence, this marks the thirtieth time that the Accord has been named to the list. That, in case you haven’t been keeping track, is a record and it’s the only volume selling car that has repeatedly been named to the prestigious Car and Driver listing.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg, as it were. Since Honda brought production of the Accord stateside in 1982, over 10.5 million units have been produced here out of a total 12.5 million units produced.

*The Accord has just been named one of Car and Driver’s 10Best for the 30th time, giving it more appearances on the list than any other car in the magazine’s history. As our signature vehicle, the 2016 Accord upholds a legacy we started in 1976. With further design refinements and even more efficient performance, it’s our best Accord ever. Again.
